About the Event

As we struggle in these times of racial discord, many of us are seeking outlets for having conversations beyond social media posts. The Bible Women's Project was founded on the practice of story circles, spaces for people to come together and dialogue about sensitive topics, like race. We would like to offer a virtual story circle on June 21st, 4-6pm EST for anyone looking to engage in this conversation. Do not come if you are interested in trying to convert someone to your personal perspective. This is a place to listen to others' experiences and seek connection and empathy. This event is a free event, but you do need to register to participate. We welcome people from all backgrounds seeking to understand and LISTEN. We will be looking at the story of Hagar and Sarai. Two women from different backgrounds: one a slave and used by her mistress to produce children, the other a woman with power who grew jealous of her slave who she saw as having more than she herself did. Sound familiar? These are not easy conversations, but God has already placed in His book a way to engage in them. Join us.
